We value the importance of balance between work and family life; and promote this philosophy throughout the company. Role PurposeThe Mobile Plant Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of mobile plant equipment in our Workshop, ensuring optimal performance, safety, Reliability and availability. This role includes leading a team of Mechanical technicians, Auto electricians & Boiler Makers, coordinating scheduled maintenance activities and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements. The supervisor will work closely with the Plant Superintendent & management teams to minimize downtime and support continuous operational efficiency. The role requires a proactive approach to equipment health, efficiency and safety, ensuring that all activities align with company standards and regulatory requirements.Team Leadership and Supervision Capable of leading and supervising a team of Maintenance Technicians, providing guidance, training and support.Support breakdown maintenance and repairs, responding quickly to equipment issues to minimise downtime.Promote and encourage high performance and safety in the workplaceHandle crucial situations in a calm and effective mannerGreat communication skills, leading by example and contributing to a positive workplace cultureAbility to pass Pre-employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol screen Safety and ComplianceEnsure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations, following company policies.Conduct regular safety inspections of mobile plant equipment and maintenance work areas.Promote a safety-first culture, ensuring team adherence to all safety protocols and procedures. Documentation and ReportingPromote and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and repairs.Prepare regular reports on equipment performance, maintenance activities, and downtime incidents.Work alongside the Maintenance Manager & Plant Superintendent to analyse data to identify recurring issues and implement solutions to improve equipment reliability.    Key Skills and ExperienceEssentialEducational Requirements: Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Diesel Fitting, or a related field is required. Technical Skills: Proficient in diagnosing and repairing various Types, Makes & Models of mobile plant & equipment.Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage a team effectively.Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and implement effective solutions in an agile environment.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with team members, other departments, and external vendors. Further requirementsExperience in the Plant & Equipment hire environmentRail industry experienceMinimum of 5 years’ experience in mobile plant maintenance, Supervisor experience.Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s licenceMust hold a current Construction Induction/White Card (or willing to obtain)Due to the physical nature of this role, a pre-employment medical assessment  AUD Rocklea 4106
